Iran hosts International Psychotherapy Forum

The scientific secretary of the congress, Sa'id Shamloo told reporters on Sunday that it will be attended by celebrated psychotherapists and experts from Iran, India, Japan, Germany, France, Austria, the US, Canada, Argentine and Russia.

He added that the participants are due to deliver speeches and present the results of their research on the issue.

"The International Asian Psychotherapy Federation is affiliated to the World Council of Psychotherapy (WCP) and the congress is held annually in one of the member states," he added.

The congress will mainly focus on mystics and its role in psychotherapy, development of classic psychotherapy into its modern form, psychotherapy in various cultures, methods and techniques of psychotherapy, medicine and psychotherapy, culture and psycho therapy and preventive measures in psychotherapy.

"The law on professional ethics and psychotherapy, the children's and young adults' psychotherapy, application of technology in psychotherapy, psychotherapy of the aged, family and couples are also to be discussed in the upcoming event.

"War, migration and psychotherapy; psychotherapy in Africa, Asia and Australia will also be on agenda," he concluded.
